Our client is a charity in the housing and financial services space seeking a Finance Manager in Dublin city centre
You will report direct to the CFO
FINANCE MANAGER :
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting ::
Lead the day-to-day management of the finance function, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and cash flow.
Assist in the preparation of accurate monthly management accounts, forecasts, and annual financial statements.
Develop budgets in collaboration with senior management and monitor performance against targets.
Manage all tax compliance returns of the organisation both periodically and annually. This includes VAT, LPT, RCT and PAYE returns.
Present timely financial reports and insights for the CEO, Board, and Audit & Risk Committee.
Compliance & Governance ::
Liaise with external & Internal auditors and oversee the annual audit process.
Maintain up-to-date financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, the Charities Regulator, the Approved Housing Bodies Regulatory Authority (AHBRA), and all relevant statutory obligations.
Strategic & Operational Support ::
Provide financial analysis to support decision-making, funding applications, and investment strategies.
Work closely with the CFO and senior leadership team on long-term financial planning and sustainability.
Team & Systems Leadership ::
Oversee and develop the finance team, ensuring effective performance and professional development.
Ensure financial systems and software are efficient, secure, and fit for purpose.
Champion a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement across the organisation.
Qualifications & Experience ::
Qualified ACA or FCA / CPA
Ideally Minimum 2+ years’ post-qualification experience.
Experience in preparing management accounts, budgets, and financial models.
Proven ability to engage with senior management, and external stakeholders.
Excellent IT skills, with strong knowledge of accounting systems and Microsoft Office.
