New website, new logo, new ways to engage with your Institute
We are delighted to launch our new website. Members and students will notice significant changes to the site, our corporate identity and the ways to interact with the Institute.
These changes are the culmination of a major IT upgrade for the Institute, which has delivered a full systems overhaul across the organisation. Known as “Project Aspire”, this transformation project will enable the Institute to serve members and students in a more integrated, efficient way.
Speaking about the launch today, Institute CEO Pat Costello said, “I am very proud of the Institute team that has delivered this highly complex and very significant project for Chartered Accountants Ireland. I am confident that members and students will see practical benefits from day one, and even more over time, as we realise the full capability of the system. This is a very significant milestone in the modernisation of the Institute. We look forward to your feedback and ask for members’ and students’ support as we bed down these changes.”
New website
The website has been completely redesigned in line with member and student feedback. Some of the key changes are:
- Responsive design – mobile friendly, providing better access to services on-the-go
- Content refresh – more timely, accessible, material, and all content, including Accountancy Ireland, in one place
- Enhanced security – to enable this, all members and students must change their password on initial login. This is a very straightforward process, but anyone encountering any issues should contact webmaster@charteredaccountants.ie
New identity
The Chartered Accountants Ireland corporate identity has been refreshed to be more contemporary, and to work better on digital channels. The identity is still true to its original concept, but its simpler design, cleaner look and fresher colours allows more flexibility and standout.
The logo will be used from today on all new Institute materials. Similarly, all members are asked to use the new identity on future materials. We expect that there will be a complete transfer to the new logo by May 2018. The logo files and brand guidelines are on our Media Downloads page.
New ways to engage with your Institute
Along with the new website, Chartered Accountants Ireland has implemented a market-leading Association Management System, Aptify. The new system has been highly configured to meet the Institute’s specific needs, and over time, members and students will see some changes to the way certain processes are completed.
For members, there is better access to accounts information, all products are available online, practising certs can be easily downloaded and it is now simpler to update personal details.
Prospective students can now apply for eligibility/exemptions online. Current students will also see service enhancements such as easier access to information and an “expert system” to support them from one step to the education process to the next. For firms, there are plans to rollout self-service functionality to manage trainees online.
Speaking about the changes, the Institute IT Director John Patton said, “The Institute’s legacy systems were nearly obsolete and had many inefficient aspects – for example the Institute website and backend systems were not integrated, which resulted in the rekeying of much information. The new system provides the capability for significant service enhancements over time. Today marks the culmination of the initial project, but it really the start of a new way of doing business.”

There will be some essential maintenance over the coming days, which will mean the website will be unavailable for short periods on some late evenings. We apologise for any inconvenience. These have been scheduled for:
