Speaker Bio's

Brian Murphy FCA Brian is a Partner within Deloitte Ireland's Consumer & Technology Business (CTB) Audit & Assurance department. He has over 15 years audit and general business advisory experience, specialising in external statutory audits under IFRS, US and local GAAP, internal audits (including systems reviews and "value for money" audits), due diligence and forensic accounting investigations (for both private and public sector organisations). Brian lectures and presents extensively on a range of topics including audit, financial accounting/reporting and finance on behalf of Chartered Accountants Ireland. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland (FCA), holds a Diploma in IFRS, Certificate in FRS 102 and Bachelor of Business & Legal Studies (UCD).

Rachel Tubridy - Managing Director, PeopleSource.ie - a finance recruitment firm based in Dublin. Rachel has been working in the recruitment sector for almost 20 years in Ireland and the UK. Her client portfolio ranges from Plc's to SME's to MNC's both in Ireland and internationally. She will be able to share her experience and provide insights on the finance recruitment market and emerging trends. For the past three years PeopleSource.ie has been the main sponsor for our Young Professionals and they have worked with the Chartered Accountants Ireland for the past seven years.

Sinead Fox-Hamilton FCA -Sinead is a Law graduate and Fellow Chartered Accountant who has enjoyed a diverse career spanning varied Finance, Recruitment and Consulting positions. In her current role with Chartered Accountants Ireland, she showcases the Chartered Accountancy profession, supports career and professional development journeys along with working with employers to implement relevant training and learning solutions to support talent management. Sinead was noted in Northern Ireland's 'Top 40 under 40' and 'Top 20 Inspiring Women' listings and was also recognised for her

Dee France -Dee manages the team behind Thrive Wellbeing Hub and CA Support at Chartered Accountants Ireland. She is a fully qualified Wellness Coach, certified Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) practitioner and Stress Management consultant with an MA in Gender Politics from Goldsmiths University, London.

Meave HuntMaeve is a Director within the Audit and Assurance department of Grant Thornton Belfast. Prior to joining Grant Thornton in 2016 she was an audit manager in a mid-tier practice for seven years, where she was responsible for a wide portfolio of clients. Maeve has significant experience in working with small privately held businesses through to large multinational corporates focusing on but not limited to the manufacturing, retail and property development and technology sectors. She also has experience in preparing financial projections and business plans for companies wishing to gain start-up funds/grants. Maeve is Chairperson of Chartered Accountants Ireland Ulster Society.

Jason Bradleyis a Project Direct - Financial Reporting Council. Working within the FRC’s Audit & Assurance policy team on the development of auditing standards and guidance, Jason’s specialism is how audit quality can be improved with the effective deployment of technology. Over the past 2 years Jason has lead the revision of ISRE (UK) 2410 and PN 14 and is currently working on the revised ISA (UK) 600. He is also a member of the IESBA Technology Experts Group, bringing a regulators viewpoint to work on the intersection of technology and professional ethics.

Yvonne Mc Cafferty ACA, CTA is a Director in Deloitte's Audit Technical department. Yvonne is one of the Deloitte's key technical leads in responding to changes in the auditing, legislative and regulatory frameworks. Yvonne has extensive experience on a range of technical matters pertinent to the audit profession. She supports and advises audit practitioners on audit technical matters and complex auditing issues. Yvonne also lectures on behalf of the Institute.

Lisa Campbell - is the Head of Operations in IAASA (Irish Auditing and Accounting Supervisory Authority), responsible for the examination of the level of compliance of certain entities' annual and half-yearly financial reporting with applicable financial reporting standards, the quality assurance of public interest entity auditors and audit firms, and for the supervision of the regulatory activities of the six prescribed accountancy bodies in Ireland. Lisa also chairs the Audit and Risk Committee of the National Council for Special Education. Lisa is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland and joined IAASA in 2015.

Claire Browne,Audit Director, KPMG (NI)Claire is an Audit Director at KPMG Ireland having joined the firm as a trainee in 2011 and qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 2015. She is an experienced auditor who provides audit and assurance services to clients across a range of sectors including owner managed businesses, manufacturing and construction, IT and technology, hospitality, pharmaceutical and the public sector. Claire set up and Chairs the KPMG In NI Young Professionals network and is currently convenor of Ulster Society Young Professionals Group. Claire has a passion for the profession and enjoys coaching and training the next generation of accountants, taking a leading role in recruitment and training.

Andrew Duignan, Audit Senior Manager, RBK (ROI)A Member of Chartered Accountants Ireland, Andrew has significant experience in the provision of audit and assurance services to clients operating in the financial services and international business sectors, in particular, to large groups and subsidiaries of multi-national companies. Andrew’s specialises in aircraft leasing and asset management companies operating in the construction sector. Andrew has substantial experience of supporting companies with complex accounting matters under various financial reporting frameworks.

Aidan Lambe is Director, Professional Standards at Chartered Accountants Ireland

Karen Flannery is Head of Projects, Professional Standards, Chartered Accountants Ireland

Patrick Gorry is Partner at Mazars specialising in financial services audit and assurance. His experience includes providing services to Irish and international financial institutions, structured finance vehicles and investment firms. He is a member of the Audit and Assurance Committee Financial Services working party at Chartered Accountants Ireland. At Mazars Patrick leads the firm’s audit and assurance technical group which is responsible for in-house technical training and support, methodology development and audit quality initiatives.

Anne Sykes FCAAnne joined the institute in 2000 as part of the Professional Standards team, now Professional Accountancy Team in Advocacy and Voice. Her role in the technical team has covered auditing and assurance as well as financial reporting and ethics issues. This includes drafting guidance on new emerging issues and responding to international and local standard setters on exposure drafts for standards. The team also engages with local bodies to develop reporting frameworks and guidance for our members such as the Central Bank of Ireland and the Law Society as well as government bodies. The provision of information for our members via our website and our regular Technical RoundUp in the institute’s weekly eNews is a key element in the team’s communications with members. Anne also works with accountancy bodies in the UK and Europe on new and emerging issues as well as ongoing guidance development on common issues.
