    Speaker Bios

    Martin Hunt - Revenue Commissioners-Personal Division, PAYE Information, Modernisation and Support Branch

    Brid Heffernan - Bríd Heffernan is the Tax and Public Policy Lead in Chartered Accountants Ireland and is a Chartered Accountant and Associate of the Irish Taxation Institute. Bríd has worked in tax consultancy in EY and now researches, represents and publicly comments on tax and public policy issues that affect members on the island of Ireland.

    Edel Murphy - Payroll Specialist, Grant Thornton Ireland. Prior to joining Grant Thornton Edel worked as a payroll supervisor for a number of years completing monthly UK and Irish payrolls for clients with over 4000 employees. Edel has significant experience in the implementation of new payrolls and related processes. Edel holds a level 6 FETAC in Customer Service & Communications. She has an IPASS Diploma in Payroll Management and is a Stage 1 & Stage 2 IPASS Technician.

    Debbie Fry - Debbie joined Grant Thornton in 2013. She manages the GT employee benefits consultancy team which offers corporate benefits advice as well as the management of both pension and risk benefit schemes for employees. In addition to this, she manages a portfolio of individual clients, including pensioneers, company executives, self employed and SME business owners. Debbie is a Retirement Planning Adviser, Qualified Financial Adviser and a Pension Trustee Practitioner through the LIA.

    Clara Flynn - Clara is a Senior Tax Manager at Vialto Partners, specialising in Employment Tax and Global Mobility.

    John Darby - John Darby, BCL, has been practising as a solicitor in Ireland since 1997 and is a member of the Law Society of Ireland. He qualified and practised for ten (10) years in leading Irish law firm, McCann FitzGerald and is currently a consultant at Flynn O'Driscoll LLP (since 2014). John's main areas of practise are corporate and commercial law, mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance.

    Denise Ganley - Revenue Commissioners: Assistant Principal, PAYE Information Modernisation and Support Branch

    Jamie Fortune - Jamie is a Tax Manager at Vialto Partners, specialising in Employment Tax and Global Mobility with 7 years experience in this area. He is a Chartered Accountant and Member of Irish Tax Institute.

    Stephen Lowry - Stephen Lowry is Public Policy Manager with Chartered Accountants Ireland. Stephen has represented clients at both PwC and Deloitte as well as working in advocacy and policy roles in the not-for-profit sector. Stephen currently manages the public affairs output of the Institute as part of the wider Tax and Public Policy team.
