from small and mid-sized practices from across both the Republic of Ireland and
Northern Ireland.
Course Overview
Some of the topics to be covered by our panel of leading
accountants and tax experts will include:
- With upcoming important regulatory changes in areas such as Investment
Business, our Professional Standards team are going to update us on the must
know Autumn 2023 regulatory matters for those in practice.
- Learn from investment expert Damian Cooper of Acuvest on the prospects for
the global economy and markets over the coming months, as well as what you,
and your clients, should be doing on the investment front at this time.
- The lack of available affordable Childcare across the island of Ireland is
a major issue impacting both personally on many of our members, as well as in
relation to staffing for practice and business. Our Advocacy and Voice team
are going to join with a fellow member in practice, Maria McHugh, to discuss
this issue and recent Institute advocacy efforts in this area.
- Recent Tax updates from both jurisdictions on this island.
- The Institute’s ongoing interactions with key Regulators (such as the CRO)
on behalf of our members.
- A brief overview of some of the latest Compliance and Technical issues
from recent weeks.
Key Learning Outcomes
Appreciate the key issues impacting both your practice and your clients at
this time.
