Gearóid O'Sullivan
- Gearóid is the Institute's Tax Leader and is responsible for driving tax policy within the Institute.
Deirdre McCabe
- Deirdre McCabe is a director in PwC's Tax Risk and
Controversy group.
- Deirdre is a dual lawyer qualified (UK and Ireland), a qualified mediator and experienced litigator specialising in domestic and international tax controversy.
Sinead Lew
- Sinead is a Corporate Tax Partner in PwC Ireland's
Domestic and International Outbound (DIO) tax department and leads the Capital
Projects, Infrastructure and Renewables tax group within the Irish practice.
- Sinead has over 15 years' experience providing
corporate tax advice to a variety of market sectors including Irish plcs,
private equity, large corporates and semi-state bodies.
- Sinead's main areas of expertise include corporate tax consultancy, buy side and vendor due diligences, debt restructuring and refinancing, and renewables and capital projects transactions. She has advised across key renewable energy technologies including offshore wind, onshore wind, solar and battery storage projects from both an inward and outbound perspective.
Deirdre Donaghy
- Deirdre Donaghy is the Head of Business Tax
(Principal Officer) in the tax division of the Department of Finance.
- She is responsible for developing and advising on
corporation tax policy for Ireland, including the overall structure of the
corporation tax regime, taxation of financial services, and supports such as
the R&D and audio-visual tax credits.
- In recent years a key focus of her role has been the
transposition of the Anti-Tax Avoidance Directives and the Pillar Two Minimum
Tax Directive, and the development of the participation exemption for foreign
dividends.
- Prior to joining the Department in 2012, Deirdre worked in tax practice for ten years.
Jim Connolly
- Head of Pensions Technical, Wealth Management, Goodbody.
Chloe Fox
- Chloe Fox is a Director in PwC Ireland's Tax Policy
Team. Chloe has 10+ years experience advising a range of Irish and
international businesses, including family businesses, sole traders, SMEs,
medium/large corporates and MNEs.
- Chloe specialises in advising companies on domestic
and international tax policy issues. Chloe also co-drives PwC's Global Tax
Policy Team, bringing tax policy developments, news and insights to more than
370,000 PwC colleagues around the world.
- Chloe has recently focused on advising businesses on the Irish and international implementation of Pillar Two.
David Duffy
- David is a partner in KPMG's indirect tax practice.
He has over 15 years' experience advising clients on Irish and international
VAT issues across all major sectors, including financial services, digital and
technology, real estate and transport.
- David is also the head of KPMG's Global Indirect Tax
Policy Group which provides insights to the KPMG global network and its
clients on indirect tax policy developments.
- He is a member of the European Commission's VAT Expert Group and the Indirect Tax Subcommittee of the Irish Tax Administration Liaison Committee (TALC).
