Who should attend
This webinar was recorded on 26 April 2025 and is ideal for any accountant, especially leaders and managers, seeking strategic approaches to identifying and addressing burnout and work-related stress in their organisation or team.
Course overview
This webinar explores the growing issue of burnout in accountancy, delving
into its root causes and providing actionable, research-driven solutions.
Burnout not only jeopardises individual wellbeing but also undermines
organisational performance. Traditional approaches, such as EAPs and mindfulness
classes, have proven insufficient in addressing the systemic nature of the
problem. This session empowers attendees with a strategic perspective, focusing
on the broader work environment, team dynamics, leadership practices, and
organisational culture. It emphasises the vital role of culture in breaking
mental health stigma and fostering health-oriented leadership for sustainable
workplace wellbeing.
Key learning outcomes
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the causes and symptoms of burnout in the
accountancy profession.
- Gain insights into the long-term benefits of prioritising workplace mental
health.
- Learn about the four-tiered approach to tackling burnout effectively:
individual behaviour, work environment, team dynamics, and organisational
strategies.
- Understand the principles of health-oriented leadership and how to create
a culture of health while addressing the stigma surrounding mental health.
