Speaker Bio's
Tony Hughes - Tony has over
25 years' experience in Cyber Security, IT Auditing and Technology Risk,
Governance and Compliance, holding positions such as Steering Committee member
of the NI Cyber Cluster, Board Member and Trainer within ISACA Ireland, a member
of the ISACA Emerging Trends Global Working Group, and a membership accreditor
for the Chartered Institute for Information Security. Holding many of the
recognised qualifications in Information Security, he is also a holder of the
Advanced Certificate in Investigatory Practices, specialising in digital
evidence. His experience at senior level extends to cyber security strategy,
incident response, and standards driven approaches to security in the public,
private and academic sectors. Tony has written and contributed to a number of
key Government Cyber Security strategies including those for critical national
infrastructure and services. He is a tutor on the ISACA CISA, CISM and CRISC
qualifications and lectures for Chartered Accountants Ireland on their
Certificate in Technology Risk and Data Incident Management. Tony is one of the
founders of Run_Audit, an AI enabled audit software company, and is currently a
Senior IT Auditor within the Northern Ireland Audit Office.
Brian Quirke - Brian Quirke joined the Department of
Climate, Energy and the Environment in November 2020 and is an Assistant
Principal Officer in the Department’s Circular Economy Strategic Policy Section.
Brian has over 25 years’ experience across various roles in the environmental
field, and currently works on Green Public Procurement Policy and Food Waste
Prevention Policy in the Department. Brian holds a Bachelor of Science in
Environmental Science, a Masters in Spatial Planning and a Post Graduate Diploma
in Physical Planning.
Gillian Bane -Gillian Bane, chartered accountant and founder
of Well Work 360, is a workplace health and wellbeing consultancy. She began her
career at PwC Dublin, later working in industry in Washington DC and London.
After experiencing severe burnout, she studied a master’s in Leadership in
Workplace Health and Wellbeing, with a thesis on how organisational culture
impacts work-related stress in accounting. Through Well Work 360, she empowers
organisations to create healthier workplaces using her Well Work 360 Indicator
Tool©, strategy development, leadership and manager training, talks, and
workshops. She is also currently working as the Healthy Workplace Co-ordinator
in Chambers Ireland.
Cróna Clohisey
-FCA , FCPA Director of Members and Advocacy in Chartered Accountants
Ireland
A Fellow of Chartered Accountants
Ireland and an Associate of the Irish Taxation Institute, she trained with KPMG
in Dublin and spent over 10 years working in tax consultancy in both KPMG and
Grant Thornton, followed by a period in Large Cases Division in the Revenue
Commissioners. Cróna then spent several years working in financial accounting in
Australia where she advised clients in the not-for-profit sector on financial
management, subsequently leading on the management of the company’s service
delivery.
Since joining the Chartered Accountants Ireland tax team
in 2016, Cróna has held a number of roles including Head of Tax and Public
Policy where she represented members and provided commentary on a wide range of
tax and policy issues that impact members on the island of Ireland.
As Director of Members and Advocacy, Cróna leads a large,
multidisciplinary team, focused on the delivery of member services, driving
member engagement, and representing that 39,000-strong base to maximise
Chartered Accountants Ireland’s voice as the largest professional body on the
island of Ireland.
