A leading global FS firm has an exciting and career enhancing role for a recently qualified Chartered Accountant for that of Portfolio Accountant.

You will, under the supervision of a senior team members, have responsibility for a portfolio of clients and be required to prepare management accounts and financial statements, ensuring all tax filings, regulatory and ad-hoc reporting is completed in accordance with regulatory and deal requirements.

The portfolio will comprise of a variety of Special Purpose Vehicles (“SPVs”) including CDO and CLO vehicles, note programmes, asset finance (aircraft leasing) and all types of asset-backed securitisations. This role is ideal for candidates who are looking for a stepping stone into the aircraft leasing sector or would like to bridge the gap from practice into industry.

This role has been likened to being Financial Controller for a number of mini entities.

Other duties include:
The ongoing liaison with auditors, investment bankers, lawyers, investment managers, custodians and other transaction parties.
Processing of client payments may be required from time to time.
He/she will be required to deliver high levels of client service, while ensuring that each relationship is compliant with internal policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will be:
A qualified Chartered Accountant, ideally gained in financial services; a strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards, GAAP and financial and regulatory
reporting requirements.
Prior experience in a similar role would be an advantage.
Candidates from a Big 4 background with exposure to financial services or qualified accountants working in the tax departments of Big 4 firms will also be strongly considered.

Successful candidates will demonstrate excellent analytical and problem solving abilities, strong written and verbal communication skills and must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
The role will require liaising with senior bankers, investment managers and lawyers.
