We are currently recruiting for a highly motivated Financial Accountant to join our Revenue Team at our Global HQ. You will be a qualified accountant who is looking to take your next step into commercial accounting role which will allow you to collaborate with cross functional teams internationally. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic and innovative environment for a leading global provider of outsourced development services to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries.

As Financial Accountant - Revenue, you will assist in revenue recognition, forecasting, reporting and reconciliations and be responsible for a portfolio of projects and recognise revenues on a global scale - amongst other things.

Responsibilities will include:
• Revenue Calculations.
• Updating financial systems with contractual arrangements with clients, staff deployment on projects and deliverables achieved.
• Preparation of the monthly revenue report comparing actual revenue versus forecast with supporting explanations and calculations for variances.
• Performing reconciliations of contracts and revenues recognised, resolving and reporting on any discrepancies found.
• Liaising with the billing team regarding unbilled revenue balances.
• Collaborating with the wider finance team on a regular basis.
• Assisting in the creation of monthly reports (forecast, backlog, utilisation), including insightful commentary.
• Ensure revenue is recognised within SOX guidelines i.e. relevant controls, documentation, signoff, and filing are in place.

Experience and skill requirements:
• Newly Qualified Chartered Accountant with experience within practice or industry - small practice considered
• Oracle Financials experience preferable with good knowledge/experience with MS Excel
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines with dedication to accuracy.
• Demonstrate an ability to balance own work in an efficient manner and to work with a high degree of own initiative.
