Our client is a Tech SME in South Dublin seeking an Interim FM or FC immediately and then a permanent FM.

Job Description :

Tech SME facilitating clients an alternative way to fund their business.

FM sought to assist with rapid expansion working closely with the Technology, Risk and Trading teams to ensure that financial and operational excellence prevails across all aspects of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monthly Group Management Accounts to include KPIs and notes to agreed deadlines
• Budgets and quarterly reforecasts in conjunction with CFO
• Involvement in new debt and equity funding opportunities working closely alongside the CFO and CEO
• Responsible for ensuring all transactions are recorded in Xero (our accounting system) including supplier invoices and reconciliation of supplier accounts
• Manage accounts payable processes to facilitate timely reconciliation, with any queries resolved quickly and effectively
• Group tax returns (VAT, PRSI, ROTD, TR2 etc)
• Preparation and submission of grant applications where applicable (e.g. R&D Tax Credits)
• Manage yearly statutory audit process to include proofing and finalisation of statutory and abridged accounts
• Reconciliation of company bank accounts and management of administration and access rights over those accounts
• Approval of payment of proceeds of daily trades to clients
• Management of group payroll to include liaising with external payroll provider, pension administrator, set up of new employees, issuing contracts
• Credit Risk Assessment and Analysis – assist where necessary in assessment of new credit application and complex deals and participation in Credit Committee
• Involved in developing and delivery of Platform features to client

The ideal FCA :

• Qualified ACA/FCA accountant with an audit background and experience of accounts preparation, report writing, SMEs, statutory tax returns and company secretarial returns
• Experience in budgeting and forecasting beneficial but not essential
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills
• Ability to work under pressure and multi-task. Must be flexible, prioritise, work to deadlines and ensure queries resolved in a timely manner
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication and presentational skills with an ability to handle queries in a professional and timely manner
• Highly numeric with a sharp attention to detail
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of operational risk
• Show a high level of commitment and professional work ethic
• Self-motivated and able to use own initiative
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office. You will be producing Management Packs in Powerpoint, Board Papers in Word and work extensively in Microsoft Excel. Knowledge and high degree of proficiency in Excel will be essential
• Ability to disseminate large volumes of data and succinctly summarise in a clear and concise manner the salient points for Senior Management
• Keen interest in innovation and constantly striving to find new and more efficient ways of doing things. An ability to question and improve processes
• Experienced or skilled in any of the following a benefit – Financial Modelling or PowerBI

We are searching for an ambitious, self-motivated and analytical Finance Manager to join the team. Reporting to the CFO, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to play a key role in a period of rapid expansion working closely with the Technology, Risk and Trading teams to ensure that financial and operational excellence prevails across all aspects of the business.

The position is based at the company’s head office in Belfield Office Park, Clonskeagh, Dublin subject to Covid restrictions.
