Financial Accountant - Sustainability - 1 year contract - Dublin

Our client is a growing NFP organisation with over 40 employees and growing.

With increased growth in the coming months and years the Finance team needs an additional Financial Accountant to join them.

Reporting to an experienced FC this woudl be an ideal first move for a newly Qual ACA from a small / medium firm perhaps with some experience servicing charity clients.

You add significant experience you tour cv in the next 12 months getting involved in systems upgrades, procedure refinement and transformation as well as interaction with senior management.

Its a very varied role with plenty of ad hoc projects in addition to the monthly accounting.

Established 5 years ago they have grown rapidly, working with organizations like, IPB Insurance, Bank of America as well as families, trusts and foundations to create 30 Funds and support over 200 social innovations.

They are seeking a Financial Accountant with strong analytical skills to join their fast-paced and growing team.

The successful candidate will work with the Finance Team and report directly to the Financial Controller. You will perform a broad range of management accounting, accounting and book-keeping duties. You will collate, prepare and analyze financial information to support the financial governance.

● Responsibility of all accounts including accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
● Supporting and implementation of digitalization & automation of transactions & processes.
● Preparation of the annual financial accounts
● Preparation of the monthly management accounts and reports
● Prepare cash flow projections & scenario planning to help drive business decisions.
● Reconciliation of key general ledger & balance sheet accounts
● Manage the Payroll and Pension including PAYE returns
● Implementation of procurement and expenditure processes
● Analyses of management and financial data to produce reports accurately.
● Liaise with colleagues to prepare financial data, reports and coordinating transactions
● Liaise with external auditors for the completion of our annual audit process
● Adhere to financial procedures and implementation
● Improve internal control to benefit the business operations and efficiencies
● Support day to day financial activities & other Ad-hoc duties as required.
● Act as an ambassador for Rethink Ireland at all times

● ACA qualified with circa 1/2 years Junior Accounting experience.
● You have excellent administrative, written and verbal communications skills
● You are able to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.

● Experience in the use of accounting packages including Xero, Sage, Quickbooks.
● Experience of preparing and reporting financial statements
● Understanding of charities governance code
● Experience / understanding of charity SORP
