Our client is a global plc in the property and facilities sector seeking to appoint a Financial Accountant reporting to the Financial Controller. This is a full time, permanent position and will be a key role in the finance team. This role offers a mix of reporting, commercial and financial control experience and will provide the right person an excellent environment in which to gain experience and grow their role.
Job Description
• Aid in the preparation and reporting of monthly management accounts for the company/country.
• Manage the month end close process along with various reconciliations and analysis.
• Manage the accounting and reporting for several key account customers.
• Working with Key Account Managers, provide reporting, support and analysis for your allocated key accounts.
• Be part of the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Prepare, analyse, and report key monthly KPI’s to the Group.
• Play a role in managing and policing internal controls and perform occasional spot checks on sites for items such as cash and stock.
• Aid in both internal and external audit work for the Company and Group.
• Be responsible for certain compliance activities for statutory returns.
• Partake in compliance activities associated with the company locally and to the parent company.
• Development work for self and team such as process improvement, financial information and reporting projects and other various continuous improvement concepts
• Be a key member of the finance team that can be relied upon to lead and be part of teams that complete ad hoc projects and initiatives.
• Systems: Navision, Coupa and OneStream – learn, use and develop the efficient use of the systems.
Qualifications:
• Qualified ACA
• Advanced competence in using Excel.
• Fluent English is required.
Experience:
• Ideally, 1 or 2 years PQE industry experience.
• Experience in the preparation of monthly management accounts, ideally in a multinational reporting environment.
• Monthly results reporting experience would be advantageous.
• Excellent financial and analytical experience a must. Attention to detail in this role is important.
• Be self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Ability to prioritise work, manage different projects and meet deadlines.
• Experience of accounting software packages, of which Navision would be an advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in a multinational reporting environment would be ideal but is not a necessity.
