Corporate Finance & Investment Senior - Dublin CC - Irish SME's

Our client is a firm in Dublin City centre with an Investment Management team seeking an addition at senior level.
You will have access to all aspects of the investment desk and full maangement of expenditure.
This is an investment facing role.
You will meet Business owners. Manage a pipeline. Analyse and complete DD as well as offer for investment.

An audit background is desired but does not have to be Big 4.
There is a bridging element to this role also where the member will help out on the funds side.
The role sits in the exciting space somewhere between VC and Private Equity.

To date the client has invested in 20 companies from a range of industries including renewable energy, nursing homes, transport/logistics, pharmaceuticals, distilleries, software, manufacturing, construction, hospitality and storage.

They are looking for a recently qualified ACA to join our ambitious team. The successful applicant will work directly with Irish entrepreneurs, owner-managers and family-owned businesses throughout the entire investment cycle. They will have involvement in the full investment fund cycle from capital raise, funds deployment, exiting investments, portfolio management/monitoring and distribution of funds to investors at close.

Responsibilities will include:
• Sourcing, screening and engaging with prospective investee companies
• Work with the team in managing investment projects from cradle to grave including:
o EIIS qualification reviews
o Financial due diligence
o Financial analysis and modeling
o Assist in the preparation of investment committee papers to the Board of Management
o Overseeing preparation of transaction documents
o Assisting team in managing investment exits
• Preparation of advice to clients/investee companies on a range of transactions, working with partners/directors and analysts across the firm
• Monitoring existing portfolio companies and adding value/support wherever possible
• Maintaining client relationships over the lifetime of our investment
• Maintaining investor relations by creating reports for investors on the growth of investee companies and fund performance
• Support the compliance function associated with being a regulated entity
• Manage junior team members and graduate trainees

Candidate Requirements
• A qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA)
• Tangible track record of academic success
• Advanced financial modeling experience and Microsoft suite proficiency (PowerPoint and Word) is preferable but not essential
• Preferably with some investment, corporate finance or transaction advisory experience but not essential
• Ability to commence and maintain client relationships
• Motivated, ambitious and curious self-starter who is comfortable in taking initiative to drive deliverables
• Willingness to travel to client meetings and industry events
• Disciplined and logical in your approach, structured in your thinking, organised and resourceful
• A proven ability to work within a team and communicate with team members when problems occur
• Passionate about lower/mid-market private equity investment in Ireland
