A well-established medium-sized practice in Dublin 2 wishes to recruit a Qualified Audit Senior for the Audit Department. Role offers work life balance and flexible working hours.
The clients within the practice include hotels, property developers, motor dealers, professional service providers, as well as household names in the home entertainment and food/retail sectors. The role calls for someone who is suitably experienced, professional, persuasive, decisive, has attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
The Audit Senior will be required to plan, organise and control the completion of all aspects of the audit engagement for review by the engagement manager or director.
• Assist with planning of audit, including staffing and deadlines.
• Present high quality work papers.
• Plan, control and review the work of the junior audit team.
• Delegate to junior audit team and provide on the job training.
• Close all queries raised by manager or director on audit work papers.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of complex accounting and auditing concepts and apply them in practice.
• Achieve time budgets and meet deadlines.
Experience & Qualifications
• Chartered Accountant
• Excellent knowledge of auditing and accounting. You will have experience in Audit, Accounts Preparation, Company Secretarial and some experience in Corporation Tax.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to multi task and prioritise workload.
• Initiative and ability to work without supervision.
• Have drive, enthusiasm, and commitment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with Sage Accounts Production advantageous.
