Our client is an international manufacturer in the healthcare sector seeking an experienced Head of EU Finance.
The EU Head of Finance will report to the Market CEO and the Group Chief Financial Officer and be responsible for financial reporting, financial operations, process improvements, and supporting the EU Commercial activities for the EU region.
The EU region principally consists of: Ireland, UK, France, Nordics and direct sales into non-core markets across the EU.
This role, based in South Dublin will suit a commercially focused individual with a strong operational and commercial finance background with experience in progressively senior roles, preferably in a manufacturing/production/supply chain industry; and is an integral role to deliver strong and sustainable growth for one of the Group’s largest markets.
You will be part of the EU Executive Team and be directly involved in the following:
• Responsible for all aspects of financial control, board & market reporting, corporate KPI’s and market finance operations, including corporate accounting, budgets and forecasts.
• Lead all EU finance operations and support the EU business activities to ensure they produce the desired results and are consistent with the overall strategy of the EU business.
• Monitoring of EU financial performance by measuring and analysing results; initiating corrective actions; minimising the impact of variances and absorption costs differences.
• Developing, implementing, and executing process and strategies for:
o Critically assessing and supporting commercial activities,
o Focusing on profit improvement, performance enhancements and cost initiatives within the EU Market,
o Supporting the market executive on the digitisation of the EU business,
o Supporting the market executive on the customers & supplier negotiations, and,
o Supporting the market executive on the correct allocation of EU resources.
• Review and engagement of R&D activities and cost allocations,
• Review EU M&A opportunities as they arise, and
• Management of adhoc projects.
Requirements
• ACA / FCA with 10+ years relevant PQE, with 3 to 5 years’ experience in a commercially focused role.
• International experience preferably with reporting experience in other European countries.
• Experience in leading, managing and developing a team is essential
• Ability to deal with Internal and External Stakeholders
• Knowledge and use of BI Systems, advanced Excel, and PowerPoint skills (Power BI skills an advantage)
