Our client is an education and membership body based in Dublin. The successful candidate will be working alongside a small finance team and reporting to a supportive FC.
2/3 days in office
Suit an ACA/FCA seeking work life balance in an enjoyable, sleeves rolled up finance team.
Responsibilities & Duties
• Preparation of monthly management accounts with reconciliation to budgets, balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules
• Reviewing management accounts with Department Heads
• Preparation and posting of journals
• Assist with preparation of budgets
• Assist with the improvement of financial systems and processes in the company
• Assist with the external audit process. Liaising with external auditors and resolving queries in a timely fashion
• Preparation of annual financial statements
• Provision of financial support to the wider business as needed
• Assist with Risk Management, Corporate Governance and Compliance – PAYE, VAT, CRA, RBO and CRO
• Ad hoc projects as required
Requirements
• ACA/FCA
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience with managing and directing a team
• Ability to build teamwork and cooperation among individuals and departments
• Be dependable, reliable and follow through on commitments, producing timely work to required standards or higher
• Be self-directed and proactive
• Demonstrate excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and work effectively on multiple tasks in a fast-paced, demanding environment
• Be attentive to detail and monitoring adherence to company standards
• Understand and perform a variety of accounting tasks
• Demonstrate advanced proficiency with MS Excel
• Knowledge of MS Teams and Power Platform would be an advantage
• A broad knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
