Due to continued growth and expansion, our client is seeking a highly motivated individual to join a dynamic professional senior team. This full-time role offers opportunity for career development and promotion for the right individual who will be charged with managing a portfolio of clients. The role involves providing audit and related services to companies and groups operating across a wide range of sectors, in addition to participating in the management of practice.
The successful candidate will work closely with the partners and will have a real opportunity to provide a valued opinion. Excellent opportunities exist for an ambitious and driven candidate to progress within the firm.
Main responsibilities:
• To effectively lead a team in planning, managing and executing Audit engagements in an efficient, effective and timely manner;
• Supervise and train junior members of the team to ensure standards are maintained throughout the entire audit process;
• Assume full responsibility for managing and reviewing the work of the audit team;
• Project management - Assume responsibility for managing a varied portfolio of clients;
• Researching and resolving technical queries from clients
• Manage work in progress and billings as part of working capital management;
• Identifying client needs and new business opportunities within client organisations;
• Develop and grow the firms client portfolio;
• Partake in client fee negotiation;
• Maintain a high quality of work and consistently adhere to relevant professional standards
Skills and attributes:
• Experienced Chartered Accountant
• Strong technical skills (FRS102/IFRS)
• Strong audit manager experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage staff under tight deadlines whilst maintaining standards;
• Ability to make professional judgements based on findings;
• Portfolio management experience;
• Attention to detail and analytical assessment; experience working as part of a team supporting others;
• Commercially awareness;
• Enthusiasm to drive change or improve the operating environment including embracing new technology when appropriate.
A proven track record in the above, strong interpersonal skills, drive and enthusiasm are a pre-requisite for this role.
Desirable:
Experience of Relate Software – Drive/Accounts Production/Corporation tax
