Chartered Accountants Ireland is the largest and longest established professional accountancy body in Ireland, representing over 38,400 members, in more than 100 countries around the world and educating 6,600 students. The Institute aims to create opportunities for members and students, and ethical, sustainable prosperity for society. An all-island body, Chartered Accountants Ireland was established by Royal Charter in 1888. Our role is to educate, represent, and support our members. In addition, the Institute has regulatory obligations under legislation in The Republic of Ireland and in the United Kingdom. Our members work in senior positions in practice, the public service and industry.
