Technical alerts and technical releases

Technical alerts are similar to technical releases but will address issues of a less permanent nature – notifications, reminders etc.  These will be referenced numerically and by year (‘TA 01/2020’). They will also be maintained here on the technical pages of the Institute’s website but will have less ongoing relevance. Technical alerts can be accessed here.

A technical release addresses technical issues of ongoing relevance and importance to members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.  A technical release is a source of good practice guidance on technical and practice issues relevant to the work of chartered accountants.

Technical releases will be referenced numerically and by year (e.g. ‘TR 01/2020’) and will address technical issues of ongoing relevance/importance to members (e.g. in the areas of assurance, financial reporting, relevant company law issues).  Such documents will be maintained here and subject to their continuing relevance and application, will be updated/revised as appropriate.
