Our Client is a prominent Not For Profit organisation based in Dublin seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis Lead.

Finance Risk and Financial Planning Lead
Reporting to: Finance and Corporate Services Director

The reporting relationship is to the Director of Finance
Main functions of the post:
Financial Forecasting • Responsible for the annual budget build including compilation; reporting and liaison with other teams within Client • For updating and maintaining Client ’s 30-year business plan projections, in collaboration with the FD and for contributing towards the business plan document • Preparation and reporting (commentary) on monthly forecast cash flow analysis, incorporating cap ex cash outflow • To critically assess protocols between various departments around financial reporting and cash forecasting and to identify changes to said protocols where necessary. • To assist the FD in variance analysis and to undertake analytical review of KPIs
Treasury Related • To Manage drawdowns from lenders in conjunction with the Development Team • To take the lead in satisfying reporting requirements to lenders • To report on compliance with covenants of loan agreements • To fulfil the reporting requirements of Client ’s Treasury Management Policy • Liaise with external treasury advisors in respect of funding the delivery of key projects

Development Related • Examining the financial feasibility of new business proposals through financial modelling (excel and modelling software) • Assisting in production of business case reports for new business proposals • Ensuring that accounting for development and unit delivery is accurate and timely, including reconciliation of solicitors closing transaction statements and liaising with solicitors on same
Risk and Compliance • To assist in the management and maintenance the risk register for Client , on the direction of the FD • To assist in the Annual charities Regulatory cycle • Undertaking required regulatory compliance work as required
General Accounting • Ensuring that management information for decision making is up to date and accurate • To liaise with the Property Services team and ensure that the Sinking Fund database is kept up to date to reflect major component replacement • Ensure accuracy and integrity of accounting records of Client • Instruction of other team members as required
• To assist the Finance Director in the production of reports for various committees and the Board as required • Ensuring that all finance procedures are in line with strategic policy (in collaboration with FD)

Other Duties

• To undertake other responsibilities as are deemed necessary by the Finance Director and are consistent with the responsibility of the post. • To assist the FD with additional reporting / projects as required • To adhere to Client ’s policies and procedures at all times

Education and Experience Requirements • Qualified accountant ACA or FCA • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role; min, three year’s post qualification • Knowledge of social housing sector, including funding of same is an advantage

Essential Knowledge and Skills Requirements • Knowledge of Financial Standards; Companies Legislation and the Regulatory environment in which Client operates • Advanced knowledge of the MS Office suite programme • Extensive experience using accounting software packages in addition to • Advanced Excel skills • Financial Modelling skills • Knowledge of risk management systems and process • Ability to balance multiple competing work demands, working to tight deadlines • Highly accurate / detail focus • People management and team building • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written • Ability to identify key priorities • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Flexibility and adaptability • Property / Housing experience an advantage
