This course is suitable primarily
for accountants in practice who act as the reporting accountant for solicitors
in Northern Ireland.Course overview
Topics to be covered during this focused session will include:
- Summary of the reporting accountant's responsibilities in relation to their solicitor clients
- Key risks associated with these assignments and the common errors in conducting such assurance engagements
- Reporting to the Law Society of Northern Ireland and their expectations at this time
- How best to use the new Institute Solicitors Accounts Regulations Toolkit for Northern Ireland and other guidance materials available in this area.

Speaker Bios
Jeremy Twomey FCA - Jeremy in his role
as Practice Consulting Manager works to support our member practitioners across
our service areas, with a particular focus on compliance support, training and
our associated advisory services. Jeremy is a Fellow of the Institute, having
trained with Ernst & Young; he has held senior management positions across
both financial and professional services, as well as the public sector.
