Our client is a growing hotel Group seeking a Financial cotroller to join the team in Finance and report to the Head of Finance and FD.
You can have 2/3 years PQE and come from a small practice trained background or be an FCA with hospitality sector experience... or anything inbetween - All applications welcome!
Key elements however include : Strong communication skills / Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
Several entities and about 100M turnover with more entities coming on board.
You will be involved with Group reporting and comms with Shareholders as well as the monthly reporting.
Hybrid work is acceptable once settled in.
Advancement and increase will be given features of this role once you prove yourself.

Principal Responsibilities
• Hotel Financial Controller with duties including but not limited to:
o managing the accounts department and its personnel in the oversight of cash, debtors, creditors and payroll
o assessing and promoting financial reporting controls to ensure accuracy and verifications key figures
o mentoring existing accounts personnel as required
o overseeing the preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Group responsibilities will extend to other entities in the group to include:
o liaising with accounts personnel in other group owned properties
o supervision and review of monthly accounts for group properties
o compliance with Revenue and CRO filings and procedures, ensuring all returns are correctly prepared and submitted on time
o responsibility for banking compliance and covenant reporting
o overall responsibility for weekly reporting on performance, forecasts and payroll costs to Head Office for onward circulation to investors.
o Review of monthly reports and management pack for presentation to shareholders
o Opportunity to develop increased capacity over time to take on further group responsibilities and provide support to the Head of Finance.

• Capacity for understanding the business dynamic, compilation, and interpretation of financial data
• Understanding of control procedures; accounting standards and tax laws
• Shares best practice and learning points throughout the group
• Aptitude for forecasting, budgeting and communication of business requirements to operational management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead, develop & motivate a team.
• Very computer literate with a high-level understanding of Excel.
