Our client is a financial services provider in South Dublin seeking a newly qualified ACA to join the finance team and work closely with the CFO.
Strong social media platform and online advisory business as part of their offering.
The business is very exciting and hasgrown from about 12 staff to close to 50 over the last 2 years and we are looking for organic and inorganic growth within the Irish Market place over the next number of years. They have grown from an owner managed company (3 Owners/Directors) to a corporate whereby ut has a strong management team running the business.
They are looking for someone who will be strong on compliance and monthly reporting and produce meaningful understanding of the figures.
As the company has grown so quickly it needs to insert KPI and dashboards across all areas of the business and would like for the individual to be driven to work within Industry/ FS and look to grow and assist the CFO and other senior management to achieve such goals.
The business is also moving to a new platform going forward and we will need to insert new rules and procedures, so in 6 months, that part of the job will be a blank canvas to be shaped in whatever is best for the company.

Responsibilities
• Accounting: Preparation of quarterly consolidated accounts for the board/half-yearly consolidated accounts for public reporting process/statuary accounts as required.
• Audit: Supporting management of bi-annual audit/review process and liaising with external and internal auditors.
• Financial analysis & budgeting; Delivery of regular and ad-hoc financial analyses/cash flow forecasting to senior management (e.g variance vs budgets) /supporting the budgeting process including regular liaison with Operations and Sales teams.
• Funding & liability management: Supporting the CFO in meeting funding requirements of the business/preparing quarterly reports to satisfy the Company’s external reporting requirements.
• Regulatory; Assisting with and ensuring compliance with accounting standards (IFRS, FRS101) and preparing submissions to regulatory bodies (e.g. CBI)
• Risk management: Ensuring effective internal controls are in place to satisfy our compliance and regulatory obligations are satisfied.
• Management Information: Supporting the development of effective MIS within the organisation benchmarking individual/team performance against growth ambitions.
Skills, expertise and qualifications
• Newly qualified ACA
• 3+ years’ experience in a relevant role in an accounting firm or financial services company
• Strong technical account knowledge with some audit experience
• Strong organisations and time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
• A problem solver and logical thinker
• Conscientious, diligent with a high attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels within the organisation.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint
