Student Relations & Support Executive

Chartered Accountants Ireland is recruiting a Student Relations & Support Executive in Education & training Department. This role will administer and manage all student application processes including exemption, enrolment and all aspects of formal registration for the Chartered Accountant qualification (ACA) on the island of Ireland.

The Education & Training Department of Chartered Accountants Ireland is responsible for the education, training and assessment of approx. over 6,000 students.

The Admissions team: Responsible for all student application processes including exemption, enrolment and all aspects of formal registration.

The Student Relations & Support Executive role will provide a comprehensive support in enhancing the systems for student enquiry handling, application processing, organisation and presentation of online content, and engaging students through social media and other web based platforms. 

The Role:

The Senior Executive in the Admissions Unit will be responsible for the oversight and timely processing of all student applications.  

Reporting to: Manager-Student Services

The Expectations:

The role of Student Relations & Support Executive’s overall responsibilities may vary from time to time, but the main areas of responsibility are as follows:

  • Oversight of processing student exemptions, course, examination enrolment and registration of training contracts.
  • Work closely with ETD colleagues and other departments to develop and manage Social Media platforms for students, to include facebook, twitter, newsletters, as well as the student website.
  • Communicate with designers regarding update and design of application forms.
  • Alignment of non-accredited exemption applications to CAI syllabi.
  • Liaising with Heads of Departments in Colleges and Universities to ensure that exemption criteria is current and correct.
  • Oversight of registration of student contracts.
  • Oversight of  the studentqueries mailbox which is the repository for all student queries across all levels.
  • Account management of recognised training firms in line with agreed Service Level Agreements.
  • Guiding training partners and students through issues arising during transfer and termination of training contracts and providing detailed information on alternative routes to membership.
  • Provision of annual intake statistics.
  • Liaising with colleagues across the organisation to ensure that all processes are completed against agreed time frames.
  • Provision of relevant information to Accountancy Extra.
  • A willingness to learn and be trained in a new IT system - Aptify
  • Other duties as assigned by manager

The Candidate:

The Student Relations & Support Executive should have demonstrable experience in a customer centric culture providing best in class customer centric engagement. Experience in the education or professional services sector is preferable.

  • Have excellent IT skills, particularly relating to Microsoft Office and Database Management.
