Our client is a long standing not for profit organisation in the housing and property sector with an exceptional reputation. It is currently seeking a Financial Accountant to be part of a small team (6).
What You'll Do
• Reconcile a variety of general ledger accounts according to Corporate Policies and Procedures.
• Participate in month end close activities by ensuring transactions are recorded timely and accurately.
• Drive process improvements and lead exciting accounting transformation projects to achieve scalability, efficiency, and productivity.
• Local GAAP Accounting on a monthly cycle.
• Prepare Financial Statements for the Statutory Audit Cycle.
• Manage year-end audit and schedule requests of external auditors.
• Work with the Statutory Auditors to close out the Audit in a timely fashion.
• Prepare VAT & other compliance returns on a monthly/quarterly/yearly basis.
• Work cross functionally & build relationships with customer & support groups.
• Ad Hoc projects and analyses.
What You Need to Succeed
• Qualified ACA.
• 1-4 years of accounting experience required.
• Positive demeanour, collaborative, and team-oriented. Comfortable in a fluid environment that changes as the business evolves.
• Highly motivated initiative-taker who is passionate about continuous improvements.
• High attention to detail with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Advanced Excel skills are essential.
• Excellent communication skills.
