Tax back in Republic of Ireland
Donations to a charity of €250 or more in one calendar year are tax efficient. By reclaiming tax on your donation we can increase it by an extra 45% at no extra cost to you. This is a valuable source of income for CA Support.
How charity tax back works:
Following the 2013 changes to the charity tax back scheme, donations of €250 or more are now eligible for tax reclaim for both PAYE tax payers and the self-assessed.
That means that your donation of €250 is actually worth €362 to CA Support – at no extra cost to you.
The more you give, the more the Revenue gives. It really is that simple.
To enable CA Support to reclaim the tax, you must complete a Enduring Certificate and send it back to us. This form is valid for 5 years so if you make another tax efficient donation to us during this period, you don’t have to worry about completing another form for us.
Once completed please send your form to:
Chartered Accountants Support
Chartered Accountants House
47/49 Pearse Street
Dublin 2
D02 YN40
If you prefer to complete a form for each year separately, you need to complete a Annual Certificate.
Companies
In the case of corporate donations, a company can claim a deduction as if it were a trading expense.
Tax back in Northern Ireland
If you are a UK taxpayer, for every £1 you donate, CA Support will receive an additional 25p from HM Revenue & Customs. All you need to do is complete a Gift Aid Declaration. You only need to complete the declaration once, as it will cover all future donations you make. There is no minimum amount you need to donate – the only requirement is that you are a UK taxpayer. It’s that simple.
