What's new

CAP2 main exams 2026

As of Summer 2026, all CAP2 main exams will be autoscored and include numeric calculations and multiple-choice questions. These open-book exams will now have a duration of 3.5 hours in length (previously 3 hours and 50 minutes).

Students can practice their exam technique and time management for all exams. This allows students to become familiar with the question formats and the exam platform before sitting their exams.

Prior to the CAP2 main exams, students are advised to utilise all resources available.

CAP1 main exams 2025

As of Summer 2025, all CAP1 main exams will be autoscored and include numeric and multiple-choice questions. These closed-book exams will now have a duration of 2.5 hours in length (previously 3 hours).

Students can practice their exam technique and time management for all exams. This allows students to become familiar with the question formats and the exam platform before sitting their exams.

Prior to the CAP1 main exams, students are advised to utilise the relevant resources available:

System requirements

ProctorU have a new function in the area of equipment requirements. 

This is related to Firewall issues. These 2 ports are often associated with a blocked camera and screensharing. On the Test it out results it will show as failed and notate what it relates to i.e. camera/screensharing.

Ports:  UDP/TCP 80 and or UDP/TCP 443

Students will need to contact their IT department to ensure these ports are unblocked prior to testing their equipment and practice onboarding and exam day.
