CAP1 on demand exams

CAP1 ON DEMAND FAQ'S

DEBK assessment

The DEBK assessment will be an on demand exam and must be sat within the dedicated exam window.  The time allocated for the DEBK assessment is 90 minutes and comprises of 26 questions over 4 sections. It is worth a maximum  20% of the overall CAP1 Financial Accounting exam. Students can test as many times as they require to achieve success. For subsequent attempts (i.e. other than the 1st attempt in the initial assessment window) students will be capped at the pass mark of 12.

Law assessment

The Law exam will be an on demand exam and must be sat within the dedicated exam window. The allocated time for the Law exam is 90 minutes and comprises of 50 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ's). The exam pass mark will be 50%. The Law exam is a pre-requisite to sitting any of the CAP1 exams. Students can test as many times as they require to achieve success. Unlike the DEBK assessment, students will not be capped for any subsequent attempts.

Important notes when using ProctorU Guardian Browser

  • When copying & pasting in the exam, students should only use 'Ctrl C' & 'Ctrl V'. The copy & paste functionality (right click)  using the trackpad will not work. 
  • If you experience a blank white screen when reconnecting to your exam, please click the 'Refresh' button, located at the top left hand corner of the Guardian Browser. 
  • Once your exam is submitted, close out of the ProctorU Guardian Browser by clicking the 'X' at the top right hand corner of the browser. Do not attempt to log back into the Cirrus platform.  
  • Do not use the ProctorU Guardian Browser when attempting your practice papers on Cirrus. You will not be able to save or print your practice paper answers using the ProctorU Guardian Browser.
