Our client is a high profile and high calibre educational sector organisation seeking a Senior Financial Accountant in the Strategic Financial Planning team :
Specifically, the duties of the post are:
• Responsibility for financial management and cost control across Ireland, Middle East & Asis campuses, to include annual budgeting, forecasting, management accounts, modelling, payroll forecasting, ad-hoc reporting, analytics, tax compliance and planning and external audit.
• Financial Business Partner for operational expenditure budget holders, including Director of IT, Director of HR, Director of Corporate Strategy, Head of Estates and Head of Communications.
• Manage a group cost savings and efficiencies project to ensure value for money on all operational expenditure.
• Continuously develop and improve financial reporting methodologies, structures and outputs to meet the changing demands of the organisation, with a focus on high quality outputs, automation and Lean principles.
• Involvement in the group procurement process, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
• Qualified ACA / FCA - with some years experience post qualification
Knowledge & Experience – (Essential):
• Big 4 / Top 10 trained ideally
• 5 years ++ years PQE, one of which to be in a commercial, multi-currency environment of a large company.
• Knowledge of MS Office suite.
• Excel modelling skills
Knowledge & Experience (Desirable):
• Business partnering experience
• AI / BI Tools
