What happens next

If you were unsuccessful  in any paper, it is your responsibility to enrol yourself onto the relevant resit exam through your student portal.  If you were unable to sit an exam(s) in the summer sitting, you are not automatically enrolled onto the next available sitting. You must enrol yourself through your student portal.

How to enrol for the CAP1 Autumn 2026 exams and the revision course

To register for the CAP1 autumn 2026 exam session and the revision course go to the enrol on a course/exam page.  Login is required to access this page. 

Note: Students wishing to enrol for  a revision programme must do so at the same time as registering for their examination.

Important closing dates

Autumn 2026 resit exam enrolment: close of business Monday, 15 June 2026
Revision course: close of business  Monday, 15 June 2026
Appeals Process: Information Scheme is not available for CAP1 exams as these are auto marked. Appeals Grounds I & II are available by close of business Friday, 05 June 2026. Contact the CAP1 exam executive at CAP1exam@charteredaccountants.ie to purchase.

Revision course information 

The revision course is designed for students who will be sitting the CAP1 Autumn 25/26 exams. Once the revision enrolment closes on 15 June 2026 enrolled students will be granted access to the relevant revision courses on the Learning Hub.

The Autumn 2026 Revision course will include: 

• Pre-recorded revision videos covering time management, study and exam technique, difficulties, key takeaways
• Live dedicated revision discussion forum

In addition, students will be granted access to 25-26 course content which includes: 

• All course content for the chosen course 
• All webinar recordings for the chosen course 
• View-only access to the discussion forums.
