Who should attend
This course is suitable for accountants, and other business professionals, from small and mid-sized practices from across both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
Course overview
Some of the topics to be covered across the morning will
include:
- Our Institute President Pamela McCreedy will talk with us about her
priorities for her term, as well as recent key initiatives for our Institute,
such as Strategy27.
- As we enter the busy Autumn months, we will be joined by a number of our
members from across the island to discuss the challenges and opportunities
currently facing those in practice.
- Recent Tax updates from both jurisdictions on this island.
- The Institute’s ongoing interactions with key Regulators on behalf of our
members, such as the CRO and Companies House.
- A brief overview of some of the latest Compliance and Technical issues
from across the summer months with our Practice Consulting & Professional
Accounting Teams.

Speaker Bio
Conal Kennedy - FCA, Conal is Head of Practice Consulting in Chartered Accountants Ireland. He and his team provide advice and support to practices throughout Ireland, and publish a range of practice toolkits covering audit, accounting and compliance. Over an 18 year period in Practice Consulting, Conal has coached and advised many practices through major change events such as mergers, acquisitions and retirements. He has also advised on practice development and marketing.
Jeremy Twomey - FCA, Jeremy in his role as Practice Consulting Manager works to support our member practitioners across our service areas, with a particular focus on compliance support, training and our associated advisory services. Jeremy is a Fellow of the Institute, having trained with Ernst & Young; he has held senior management positions across both financial and professional services, as well as the public sector.
