Course Overview
Through a mix of presentations from expert speakers, panel discussions and practical exercises, participants will learn:
- Fundamental cybersecurity principles
- How to navigate cybersecurity risk
- What their responsibilities are in relation to customers, boards, shareholders and regulatory bodies
Participants will have the opportunity engage in an incident response plan exercise managing a simulated cyberattack with the aim of relating these learnings back to their own organisations.
Throughout the programme, participants will also have the opportunity to engage with leading experts in the field through panel discussions and networking sessions.
Key Learning Outcomes
- This conference will enable participants to understand the role of the accountant, CEO, CFO, Financial Director, Consultant, Auditor and senior finance leaders in cybersecurity strategy, risk management, data privacy, and data breach planning, response, and management
- Learn the key cybersecurity frameworks used by organisations to protect their business operations, network systems, and sensitive data (e.g., customer non-public information, intellectual property, trade secrets, etc.);
- Understand and identify the role of the Board of Directors and C-Suite in cybersecurity risk, strategy, and management pursuant to varying laws and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with other business leaders and experts in the field to better understand the cybersecurity landscape and the varying threats facing organisations
