New offer: Circle K EV fuel card

Circle K are delighted to announce we have recently launched a Circle K EV Fuel Card which can be simply added to your existing Fuel Card Account.

We can also arrange a stand alone EV account if needed.  Our Circle K EV Card can be used for EV & Car Wash Only.

We will continue to operate the existing 3 cent per litre off pump price offer for Diesel & Unleaded at all Circle K locations nationwide along with 30% off Car Wash at our Company Owned Locations (this offer does not work at Circle K Express sites).

You will be invoiced each Monday for the previous week’s transactions

Our Circle K EV Fuel Card works at various EV locations including Circle K Locations along with many others nationwide including ESB, Ionity & e-Power charging points (see list attached).

Connector Types on Circle K Chargers

Supported Connectors:

    • All Circle K high-speed charging stations in Ireland provide CCS (Combo 2) connectors (the European standard for DC charging) and at least one CHAdeMO connector per site.

Compatibility:

    • CCS is used by the majority of modern EVs, while the CHAdeMO plug accommodates models like the Nissan Leaf and other Japanese EVs – ensuring every EV driver can charge at Circle K.

Power per Connector:

    • Circle K’s CCS connectors support high-power DC charging (typically 100 kW up to 150–300 kW, depending on the charger model), whereas CHAdeMO connectors on our units usually charge at 50–60 kW max (sufficient for the CHAdeMO vehicles’ capabilities).

Charger Power & Station Setup

High-Power Charging:

    • Circle K’s own brand EV chargers deliver at least 100 kW of power per charger, ensuring a “super-fast” DC charge at every location. Many sites feature even faster units (some 150 kW and select locations up to 300 kW**) to serve the latest EV models at their maximum charge rate.

Multiple Units per Site:

    • Each Circle K charging site is equipped with multiple charging units (minimum two chargers) to provide redundancy and minimize waiting times. This means at least two vehicles can fast-charge simultaneously at every Circle K EV location (often more, as some sites have several stations).

Amenities While Charging:

    • Our forecourts offer convenience facilities – you can park and charge quickly and use the time to grab a coffee or snack in-store. All sites have amenities (restrooms, coffee, food) and even free Wi-Fi available, so drivers can comfortably take a break while the car charges.

100% Renewable Energy:

    • All electricity supplied to Circle K’s EV chargers in Ireland comes from 100% renewable sources, supporting sustainable driving. Customers can charge with confidence that their energy is fully green at every Circle K station.

Using the Charger – Payment (“Tap & Go”)

Simple Payment Process:

    • Circle K’s fast chargers are pay-as-you-go – no membership or app signup is required. To start a session, select the Credit/Debit Card option on the screen and tap your card on the payment terminal; the charger will activate immediately.

“Tap to Start, Tap to Stop”:

    • Our Alpitronic chargers feature convenient contactless payment. Tapping your card (contactless bank card or phone pay) initiates the charge, and tapping the same card again will stop the session when you’re ready to leave. There are no RFID fobs or accounts needed – it works just like paying at a shop counter.

No Cables Needed:

    • Every Circle K fast charger has integrated charging cables for both CCS and CHAdeMO, so drivers do not need to bring their own cable. Simply Park, plug the appropriate connector into your car, and follow the on-screen prompts.

Pricing:

    • EV charging at Circle K is charged per kWh of energy delivered.

There are no additional connection fees or subscription charges – you only pay for the energy you use. (Prices are subject to review, but up-to-date pricing is always displayed on the charger screen.)

If you wish to discuss pricing or setting up an EV card or account, please contact our Customer Care team on 1890 323232.
