Course overview

Corporate reporting for sustainability can no longer be considered optional or niche. This 8-week programme will help accountants understand key reporting frameworks, tools, and metrics, and equip participants to address the sustainability opportunities and challenges they already face.

As sustainability issues (or ESG: Environmental, Social and Governance) become increasingly relevant to reports, risk management and strategy development, accountants need to be able to understand what this rapidly-changing area means for their organisations and their roles.

This programme has been designed to provide accountants with strong foundation in sustainability and ESG issues and how they are relevant to their business, organisation, practice, and clients.

Programme funding with Green Tech Skillnet

Through our collaboration with Green Tech Skillnet, applicants can avail of funding towards their Diploma in Sustainability Reporting course fees. Green Tech Skillnet is an enterprise-led network facilitating the workforce and development needs of the Irish renewable energy industry.

Depending on your membership and employment sector status, applicants can apply for the following discounts:

• Chartered Accountant of Ireland members – 30% funding
• Non-members – 30% funding

How to Apply and Funding Procedure

Green Tech Skillnet funding is available to applicants who are self-employed or employed in private/semi-state companies based in the Republic of Ireland. Applicants employed in the public sector, not-for-profit organisations or based in Northern Ireland are ineligible for funding.

To confirm your eligibility for funding, you must first contact Green Tech Skillnet directly at  johanna.banaditsch@windenergyireland.com who will assess your profile.
Once Green Tech Skillnet funding is approved, complete the Chartered Accountants Ireland application form for the Certificate in Sustainability Strategy, Risk and Reporting and email the completed form to lll@charteredaccountants.ie where you will be enrolled onto the course.

A booking confirmation will be emailed to the applicant regarding their registration. Green Tech Skillnet will be notified of your enrolment and will contact you separately regarding the subsidised payment.

Important information:
Payment should be made directly to Green Tech Skillnet and not Chartered Accountants Ireland as they provide you with the subsidised fee.
