Who should attend?
This event is for members working in businesses and practices who want to
learn more about the new Auto-enrolment Retirement Savings Scheme, what it means
for their business, and how they can prepare.
Course Overview
The event will examine:
• the advantages of the new
scheme
• the economic and social impact of the scheme
• potential issues of compliance and implementation for
employers
• how companies will be affected
• what employers need
to know and do ahead of enrolment
• potential barriers to success

After the event, participants will have a practical
understanding of the implications of the new pensions auto-enrolment scheme for
their business and how to prepare for it successfully.
Speaker Bio's
Shane O’Farrell
Shane is the Director of Workplace
Markets in Irish Life Employer Solutions leading the Member Engagement, Auto
Enrolment and Market teams. He has held several other senior positions in Irish
Life including Propositions and Product Pricing. He recently led Irish Life’s
thought development and research programmes in areas like Auto Enrolment and
Define Benefit (DB) De-Risking and Gender Pensions Parity. A qualified actuary,
he has a degree in Actuarial and Financial Studies.
Tony Culhane
Tony is the Solution Design Lead at Sage. He has worked for
Sage for over 20 years as a member of the payroll software team. During that
time, he has supported, tested, and designed many payroll software applications
covering both Ireland and the UK. Tony has worked on the introduction of PAYE
Modernisation, the Enhanced Reporting Requirement and the current Auto Enrolment
project.
Cróna Clohisey
Cróna is Director of Members and Advocacy in
Chartered Accountants Ireland. A Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland and an
Associate of the Irish Taxation Institute, she trained with KPMG in Dublin and
spent over 10 years working in tax consultancy in both KPMG and Grant Thornton,
followed by a period in Large Cases Division in the Revenue Commissioners. Cróna
then spent several years working in financial accounting in Australia where she
advised clients in the not-for-profit sector.
