Format

This course will be delivered in person at Chartered Accountants House at 47–49 Pearse Street, Dublin. Tea/coffee and sandwiches will be available from 12.30pm and the event will start at 1pm.

Who should attend

This event is for members who want to know more about the revised NDP, which outlines how the Government will invest in the country’s infrastructure and development. At €275.4 billion, it is the largest ever capital investment plan in the history of the State and is Ireland’s long-term strategic plan to grow the Irish economy, protect jobs and enhance our competitiveness to secure our future prosperity.

Course overview

The revised National Development Plan is a strong statement of intent towards securing Ireland’s competitiveness in the coming decade, and as an all-island body, the Institute welcomes the focus in the NDP on the Shared Island Fund. This event will hear from Seán Fleming T.D., the Chair of the Oireachtas Committee on Infrastructure and NDP Delivery, about the vitally important work of his committee in the coming months and years, and how his background as a Chartered Accountant informs his approach to delivery.

Key learning outcomes

After the event, participants will have a practical understanding of the implications of the changes to the NDP and what it means for them, their business, and for Ireland as a place to live and to do business.
