13 Resignation of membership
13.1
A Member may tender his or her resignation by giving notice in writing to the Secretary. The Member ceases to be a Member when the Council accepts in writing the resignation.
13.2
If a Member's notice of resignation is received by Council on or after the first day of February in any given year, the Member must pay all fees and subscriptions for that year.
13.3
A person who ceases to be a Member does not have any interest in, and may not make any claim on or against, the funds or property of the Institute. This applies to his or her representatives or any person claiming under or through him or her.
13.4
The Council may publish the fact that a person has ceased to be a Member or Affiliate of the Institute and specify the reasons.
