Summary of Role

We are recruiting an experienced HR Business Partner to join our team.  Working collaboratively with HR colleagues, the successful candidate will provide strategic and operational HR support to designated business functions across areas including organisational design, change management, employee engagement and employee relations.

The ideal candidate will be a strong team player and will demonstrate a high level of trust and flexibility while possessing a broad understanding of all major HR disciplines

This role will report to the Director of Human Resources and Organisational Development.

Key Responsibilities


Business Partnering

  • Develop strong professional relationships with the business and proactively work with key stakeholders to deliver solutions-focused HR advice consistent within the HR framework.
  • Coach and support senior managers on leadership capabilities including change management, people management and leadership development.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of business plans and strategies.

Strategic Project & Continuous Improvement

  • Manage or support the delivery of specific business focused strategic HR projects and undertake specific project work as requested.
  • Identify opportunities to improve people related processes and ways of working in line with the HR strategy.

Employee Engagement

  • Partner with managers to drive high levels of employee engagement by implementing actionable improvements from employee engagement survey results.
  • Support the roll-out of diversity and well-being initiatives as part of the HR team to nurture an inclusive organisational culture.
  • Support effective internal communication strategies using a variety of channels and forums.

Change Management

  • Collaborate with leaders and stakeholders to design and deliver effective change management plans supporting organisational design and broader change initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees through periods of organisational change.
  • Drive a culture of openness by communicating clearly with colleagues and engaging with any queries with a solutions focused mindset.

Employee Relations

  • Provide expert employee relations advice, management and guidance to the stakeholder group.
  • Manage disciplinary matters, grievances and any other performance related cases as they arise.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of legal developments to mitigate risk and support compliant decision‑making across both RoI and NI jurisdictions.

Talent Management & Succession Planning

  • Facilitate talent management and succession planning discussions within business areas.
  • Identify and source appropriate development interventions in line with the L&D budget and recommended training vendors.


Additional responsibilities:

  • Contribute to budget management and identify opportunities for cost efficiencies.
  • Participate in cross‑functional and corporate projects as required.
  • Undertake additional duties relevant to the role as organisational needs evolve.

 

The candidate

Qualification & Experience

  • A broad understanding of all major HR disciplines with a minimum of 4-5 years’ experience within a HR Business Partnering role with strong generalist and operational experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Proven experience supporting organizational change.
  • Strong business and financial acumen with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate critical, analytical and innovative thinking skills.
  • Degree level qualification with a professional qualification in HR e.g. CIPD Graduate Diploma/Certificate in HR desirable

Personal profile

  • Self-motivated, adaptable and collaborative team member.
  • Strong organisation and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to influence professionally at all levels within the organisation.
