Other qualifications - non-accredited programmes

Programmes from recognised third level education providers that do not have a formal accreditation agreement in place can give exemptions to students. These programmes will usually give partial CAP 1 exemptions, but there are often exceptions.

If you wish to apply for an exemption for a non-accredited programme, you must:

Read our CAP1 Competency Statement to ensure you have sufficient coverage of the subject topics before submitting an application for exemptions.
Create an online application to receive formal confirmation of your eligibility and exemptions
Arrange to have your transcripts of results for each year of study shared with transcripts@charteredaccountants.ie through the appropriate channels
Send subject module descriptors and sample exam papers to transcripts@charteredaccountants.ie.

We accept exemption applications from overseas programmes, and all documents sent to us must be translated into English by a certified service. Applicants for our programme must live on the island of Ireland while completing their studies with us.
