What do they look like?

Assessing risk, contributing to the organisation's strategy, communicating with internal and external stakeholders are some of the skills you need to work on now.

Professional skills include commercial awareness, self-management, and a recognition of the culture of the organisation and broader business, economic and political contexts.

Organisational knowledge - What are the landmarks?

  • Knowledge of organisational structures and the dynamics of the operations
  • You understand organisation's governance, structures and people and use this understanding to recognise the best time for action

Resource management - What are the landmarks?

  • Allocate and control financial resources within your own area consistent with your own and the organisation's goals, budget and priorities
  • Project management
  • Strong problem solving skills

Business focus - What are the landmarks?

  • Advise on and develop practical solutions to address resource issues

Agile thinking - What are the landmarks?

  • Familiar with the major financial risks relevant to the business
  • Share new ideas and perspectives to adjust business strategy
  • Transform technical information to engage a non-specialist audience
  • Identify Identify and respond to underlying attitudes and behaviour patterns
  • Measure the risks involved while taking a course of action
